Site Management and Field Sustainment
NEED PIC OF COMM SITE AND SWAN VEHICLETasked with managing multiple product structures at multiple geographic sites?
Managing product configurations at multiple geographic locations is easy with CMstat PDMPlus!
Products are fielded in various ways; to individuals, companies, military or government units. They may be mobile vehicle or aircraft-based or multiple ground-based Sites, such as FAA Comm & Navigation aids.
In each case the units consist of Hardware, software and firmware with a specific configuration or design that changes throughout the product lifecycle due to enhancements, problem resolution and other factors such as ever-changing COTS components.
The challenge is the ability to easily identify, and manage, the primary product baseline and individual iterations thereafter, as well as the fielded locations of the products.
When a defective, or superseded, part is identified, you must be able to quickly identify on what products the part is used, where and in what quantities within the products and at what locations.
For example, a Trouble Report for a specific Field Site is received. You must have immediate access to the specific product configuration at that Site for trouble-shooting purposes, along with historical change information. The Technician launching to the site must have access to the Site Configuration and Documentation prior to launch. And, while at the site, he should have web access to the product structure breakdown, serials and Technical Documentation, in order to do his work and report in a timely manner. Ideally, data updates will be made while the technician is still in the field.
To effectively support and maintain products at multiple geographic sites, you need a system that:
- Allows for multiple baselines by Hardware Configuration Items/Software Configuration Item.
- Supports baseline models based on MIL and EIA Standards.
- Manages multiple Baselines – Documents or Parts/Software.
- Manages warranty information, if required.
- Efficiently manages all the Hardware, Software and Firmware that is found in nearly all products today.
- Depicts the many relationships of configuration controlled data.
- Handles multiple "As-configured" scenarios using the "As-designed" foundation.
- Allows for the Certification of Parts and installations if required.
- Allows for the impact of ever changing COTS Equipment with methods to permit flexibility and control in the extensive use of alternate, substitute, and superseding COTS parts in the assembly process.
- Manages unique As-Designed/As-Built/As-Maintained Configurations of multiple sites.
- Supports large As-Built or Serialized Assembly Records (SAR)
- Allows for authorized site personnel to update "As-Built" records with replacement serialized parts through Web based Interface-Asset Tracking.
- Allows for Non-Standard Reference Designation Schemes that Concatenate Reference Designations correctly in "As-Built" Records
- Provide varying product views and information sets to support different departments such as Engineering, Field Service, Warranty personnel, etc.
- Supports baseline models based on MIL and EIA Standards.
